How to overcome Tinnitus

When less information being sent from the ear to the brain and the brain is used to receive certain levels of information then it tries to fill the gaps and in doing so, gives us the perception of tinnitus.


50% of tinnitus is physiological caused by some physical damage and the other 50% is psychological meaning that tinnitus will be louder when you are tired, stressed or anxious.


๐—ช๐—ฎ๐˜†๐˜€ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜๐˜‚๐˜€ :


1. Get your self in with an E.N.T Doctor. They will be able to thoroughly examine your ears, test your hearing and identify if you have any type of hearing loss.


2. Sound enrichment therapy can provide you with a temporary relief from your tinnitus by playing another sound on top of your tinnitus to hide and mask the sound of your tinnitus. (e.x background music, fan blowing in the background)


3. If your tinnitus is due to psychological reasons then it would help changing your brain's emotional response to the tinnitus using either CBT or mindfulness or a combination of the two.

Do not generate negative emotional feelings towards it.


4. Awarness and understanding. Tinnitus isn't anything sinister or a sign of anything life-threatening. Just being aware of this some people are able to get used to it.
